Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): Due to low pressure area over Bay of Bengal triggered heavy rainfall in several districts of Odisha on Sunday, informed the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar.

Besides, an Orange warning issued to several district of the State as Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Dhenkanal, Bhadrak and Jajpur.

Similarly, Yellow Warning issued over the districts of Ganjam, Balasore, Nayagarh, Angul, Boudh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Bolangir and Mayurbhanj.

“The Low Pressure Area over east central & adjoining northeast Bay of Bengal now lies over central & adjoining north Bay of Bengal with associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwards with height. It is very likely to move northwestwards and concentrate into a depression over northwest Bay of Bengal off north Odisha-West Bengal coasts during next 48 hours. Then, it is very likely to move westnorthwestwards across north Odisha and north Chhattisgarh during subsequent 2-3 days,” said yesterday’s evening bulletin of the Meteorological Centre.
