Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Information and Public Relations (I&PR) department on Friday informed that as many as 849 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. However, the total caseload on Friday surged to 10,10,072.
Among the total number of cases 495 were from different quarantine centres and 354 are from local contacts.
The number of active cases in Odisha stands at 7,345 so far. As 71,247 samples were tested in the state on Thursday as the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day stood at 1.19%.
Khordha district reported highest 341 fresh COVID cases followed by Cuttack with 117 and Balasore with 51 new cases.
