Japan/Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): At Tokyo Paralympics, Praveen Kumar succeed to clinch silver medal for India in Men’s High Jump T-64 and also created an Asian Record on Friday.
Along with Praveen’s silver medal, India clinched total 11 medal at Tokyo 2020, which includes two gold, six silver and three bronze medals.
Praveen finished second behind Jonathan Broom-Edwards of Great Britain with a best jump of 2.07 as he could not clear 2.10 meters in three attempts.
Jonathan Broom-Edwards took gold with a final jump of 2.10 metres while Poland’s Maciel Lepiato clinched bronze at 2.04 metres.
Besides, President Narendra Modi praised Praveen Kumar for his victory and congratulated him.
