Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): Encouraged by West Bengal’s victory, Mamata Banerjee is vying to fly the TMC’s victory banner in another BJP-ruled state. The BJP, on the other hand, is also ready to face Didi’s challenge.
Mamata’s eyes are also on Tripura and Assam. In this context, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Bishwa Sharma claimed that Mamata Banerjee’s visit to Assam and Tripura would benefit them. “The more she comes here, the more we’ll be benefited. We will welcome her with a red carpet,” Sharma said.
Chief Minister Himanta Bishwa Sharma said elections were held simultaneously in West Bengal and Assam. However, not a single house in Assam was stoned. But the court has ordered a CBI probe into the violence in West Bengal. “You can understand that,” the Assam Chief Minister said.
