New Delhi (SunstarTV Bureau): The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) department on Monday reported a sharp decline in COVID-19 cases and reported as many as 25,072 new positives across the country in the last 24 hours.
However, the country reported 389 deaths pushing the toll to 4,34,756 in the single day report.
Meanwhile, yesterday a total of 30,948 new cases and 403 COVID-19 fatalities were reported.
A major decline reported in active caseload which declared total 19,474 positives in the last 24 hours. Similarly, cumulative stands at 3,33,924 and the lowest in the last 155 days.
As per the latest bulletin released by the health ministry, the active caseloads constitute 1.03 percent of the total cases, the lowest since March 2020. A total of 44,157 patients were discharged from the hospitals and health centres in the last 24 hours, taking the number of cured to 3,16,80,626 in India.
Meanwhile, for the last 59 days,the weekly positivity rate remains below 3 percent and currently stands at 1.91 percent. The daily positivity rate continues to remain below 3 percent for 28 continuous days and currently stands at 1.94 percent.
