Naveen Patnaik ranks as India’s No.1 CM in COVID-19 management

Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): Odisha Supremo who is been chosen as a dearest Chief Minister for a reason, Shri Naveen Patnaik has been ranked as India’s No.1 Chief Minister in Covid-19 management.

According to a survey conducted by India Today for the month of August, 2021 the ‘Mood of the Nation’ Patnaik was followed by Assam Chief Minister Hemanta Biswa Sharma and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren in managing the Covid-19 pandemic efficiently.

Including Niti Aayog, the Odisha Chief Minister’s management of the pandemic in the State drew praises from different quarters in more than one and half years.

On the other hand, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) praised Odisha’s Malkangiri district for COVID-19 situation management in June, 2021.

Till now, the State reported as many as 9,96,153 Covid positive cases, 3.09% of the country’s total case. Of them, 8,608 were active cases whereas 9,80,471 recuperated from the disease. The recovery rate of the State has been 3.12% of the country’s total recovery.

A total of 7,021 persons in the State succumbed to Covid-19 while 53 died of diseases other than Covid.
