New Delhi (SunstarTV Bureau): Johnson & Johnson’s single dose Covid-19 vaccine received approval for emergency use in India, informed the Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya in tweet today.
With the approval, it became the fifth vaccine received nod from the Government of India after Covishield, Covaxin, Sputnik V and Moderna in fight against COVID-19.
The vaccine will be brought to India through a collaboration with Hyderabad-based biotechnology and biopharmaceutical company Biological E Limited.
On August 5, the American pharma major Johnson & Johnson Pvt. Ltd had applied for emergency use authorization of its single dose COVID-19 vaccine to the Government of India.
