Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): 67 new deaths due to COVID-19 in Odisha have been reported so far on Monday after the State Health department informed through its twitter page. By this the death toll increased to 6,033 in the pandemic.
However, Khordha reported total 12 fatalities followed by 11 from Sundergarh, 10 from Cuttack, six from Puri, Five from Dhenkanal, Four each from Ganjam and Jagatsinghpur, Three each from Angul and Bhadrak, Two each from Balasore, Jharsuguda and Kendrapara, last but not the least one each from Bargarh, Jajpur and Keonjhar districts.
Meanwhile, the positivity tally in Odisha rose to 9,79,737 after as many as 1,032 people tested positive for the virus on Monday. The active cases in the State reached 15,050 while 9,58,601 patients have recovered.
Among the number of reported cases from 30 districts, 598 are from quarantine centres while the rest 434 are local contact cases, informed the I&PR Department.
