Puri (SunstarTV Bureau): Amid the COVID restrictions, the Odisha government decided and reopened the Sun Temple of Konark from today. Notably, the heritage site was remained close for more than three months due to pandemic situation.
Reportedly, the Odisha Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has imposed all the COVID-19 issued guidelines at Konark temple. Meanwhile, the tourists and visitors are mandated to undergo thermal screening at the entry point. As many as 2,000 visitors will be allowed to visit the site, informed SRC.
To book an online ticket, a QR code has been installed, which has initiated in view of the restriction on manual booking to avoid physical contact.
Earlier, the SRC announced about the COVID-19 guidelines for the month of August and announced to reopen the tourist places, archaeological monuments amid COVID protocols.
