Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Monday informed that a cyclonic circulation lies over North Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood between 1.5 kilometre and 5.8 kilometre above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height.
However, a low pressure area is likely to form over North Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood around 28th July, 2021.
Under the influence of likely formation of low pressure area over north Bay of Bengal and neighborhood widespread light to moderate widespread light to moderate rainfall activity with isolated heavy to heavy falls very likely to occur from 28th to 30th July in several districts of Odisha. It may cause temporary water logging in some places of low lying areas in the districts of heavy rainfall activity for which damage of excess water may be required from agriculture field. Also temporarily water logging and traffic disruption may occur in low lying areas of some city in the districts of heavy rainfall activity.
Meanwhile, the Met issues Yellow warning of heavy to heavy rainfall which likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Dhenkanal, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Jharsuguda, Sonepur and Bargarh in between five days.
Similarly, weather with surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely over North Bay of Bengal from 28th to 30th July, 2021. Meanwhile, fishermen are advised not to venture into north Bay of Bengal this time.
