Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that a low pressure area probably to form over the North Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood at around July 28 (Wednesday).
The Met department informed that, “on Friday’s we observed a low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal off north Odisha West Bengal coasts now lies as a low pressure area over Jharkhand and adjoining north Chhattisgarh with the associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 5.8 km above mean sea level.”
Under the influence of the low pressure, heavy rainfall probably to occur in different parts of the state till July 29 morning, informed Regional MeT Centre.
According to Met issues warning of heavy rainfall several places are as follows:
Day 1: Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore.
Day 2: Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Balasore
Day 3: Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada and Nabarangpur.
Day 4: Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj.
Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Sonepur, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore.
Day 5: Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak and Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jajpur, Kendrapara Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Puri, Angul, Dhenkanal and Sambalpur.
