Kendujhar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of Kendujhar branch of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), named as S. N. Mohanty-KISS, was held by following COVID guidelines on 21st July 2021.
KISS had purchased 20 acres of land in Ghutukeshari village under Naranpur GP in 2008 for the institute, which will ensure quality education for the tribal children of Kendujhar district. S. N. Mohanty Group, which was founded by an eminent Odia and kind-hearted entrepreneur has extended all financial support to the establishment of S.N. Mohanty-KISS in Kendujhar, said Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS.
On the occasion, Dr. Samanta thanked S. N. Mohanty Group for their support to the establishment of S. N. Mohanty-KISS in Kendujhar. He said, for the first time an Odia entrepreneur has come forward and agreed to provide financial support for the infrastructure development of a KISS branch. The branches of KISS have been opened in five districts of Odisha. As its first initiative, the land was purchased in Kendujhar district. S. N. Mohanty-KISS will be a milestone in the history of tribal education in Kendujhar district. Particularly the poor tribal students of Kendujhar district will get quality education by the S. N. Mohanty-KISS. KISS has already purchased the land, while the infrastructure will be developed with the financial support from S.N. Mohanty Group. In the first phase, students of Kendujhar district will be enrolled from standard I to X from July 2022. It has been decided by KISS, that only the candidates from Kendujhar district will get employment in S. N. Mohanty-KISS, said Dr. Samanta.
In his speech, Mr. Pradipta Mohanty, Chairman, S.N. Mohanty Group said, KISS is the pride of Odisha and is reputed across the globe. KISS has been working for tribal empowerment for the last 30 years with capability, honesty and credibility. We, the three brothers, agreed to support its upcoming branch in Kendujhar when got the proposal from KISS.

Routray, CEO, KISS were present along with many tribal leaders of Kendujhar district.
In huge stride ahead, the Bhubaneswar based Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) has made a new footprint in Kendujhar district. Kendujhar, which is a home ground for a sizable tribal population that needs such a respite. It is more or less like taking development right to the door steps of those who need it the most.
