New Delhi (SunstarTV Bureau): After a politically charged discussion on the Covid-19 situation in the Rajya Sabha the Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya told that India will be the first country to develop a DNA-based Covid-19 vaccine even as other manufactures are steadily ramping up production.
“Vaccine supplies were improving and goals will be met even as he retired that the government is very clear that there should be no politics in the ongoing crisis,” said Mandaviya.
Meanwhile India’s Serum Institute has started of providing around 11 to 12 crore doses of Covishied vaccine every month. On the other hand, Biological E also conducting third phase trial of its vaccine, which is expected to come in the market by September-October with 7.5 crore doses.
Similarly, Bharat Biotech will be providing 2.5 crore doses in July and 3.5 crore in August. Zydus Cadila completed the third phase trial and has applied for emergency use authorization to the Drugs Controller General of India.
Furthermore, the Union Health Minster also refuted the claims that the third wave will hit children more, based on data from the first and second wave of Covid virus across Country sides.
