Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Odisha Information and Public Relations (I&PR) department on Wednesday reported the number of COVID-19 cases in State in the last 24 hours. A little respite can be observed after the reported number of COVID infections has dipped 2,000 below cases and recorded total 1,927 infections in the last one day.
Meanwhile, a total of 72,061 COVID samples were tested in Odisha on Tuesday. Besides, the Test Positivity Rate (TRP) for the day stood at 2.6 per cent.
Khurda district recorded the highest COVID cases which was 498. Followed by Cuttack recorded 248 and Jajpur recorded 123 new COVID-19 cases. Furthermore, the COVID tally in State reached to 9,59,986 with 19,685 active cases so far.

Besides, the Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) department reported 69 more deaths where the toll mounted to 5,241. Likewise the highest number of COVID cases, Khurda recorded the highest 22 fatalities.
