New Delhi (SunstarTV Bureau): While Kerala spontaneously reporting from several areas with high Test Positivity Rate (TPR), the Kerala government yesterday has sought a response from the Supreme Court on the decision of easing restrictions ahead of Eid-ul-Azha aka Kerala. The bench headed by Justice R F Nariman on Tuesday said that pressure group of any kind, religious or otherwise, cannot in any manner interfere with the right to life.
Earlier, the Court has listed the matter for hearing today where the matter was clubbed with its suo motu related to the Kanwar Yatra.
Today, the court has ordered the Kerala government to follow its orders in the Kanwar Yatra case. The Uttar Pradesh has been ordered by Justice Nariman that to reconsider above Kanwar Yatra given the threat for Covid-19 third wave.
In turn the senior advocate Vikash Singh argued that India has currently reported with 30,000 Covid-19 cases while only 15,000 cases reported in Kerala. Further the bench concerning the alarming situation as all the shops and non-essential were allowed to open in Category D which refers to a sever category of infections. The state government has blindly recorded that opening of shops will strictly follow Covid protocols, Justice Nariman said.
