Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Regional Meteorological Centre, here on Friday has issued heavy rainfall and thunderstorm alert to 23 districts of state.
The alert issued of the districts of coastal, north coastal, northern, interior and western regions of the state.
According to Met department, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Angul and Deogarh are about to experience heavy rainfall with thunder shower during next 24 hours.
Other districts are about to experience thunderstorm and lightning at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sonepur, Boudh and Kandhamal.
Further warning have issued that the rainfall may likely to last till Saturday morning.
Meanwhile, the weatherman warned fisherman not to venture sea during rainfall.
