Puri (SunstarTV Bureau): Jagannath dham Puri in Odisha soon to be redeveloped as a world class transit hub after an official statement released about the Rail Land Developement Authority (RLDA) on Thursday has invited bids for the redevelopment of the station.
Reportedly, the station will be built on design, build, finance, operate, transfer model and the tentative cost of the project excluding redevelopment of station estate, estimated at Rs 82 crore, RLDA informed.
The statement included the upgradation and integrated redevelopment of the station spanning 28,574 square meter and the development of the surrounding railway land.
The pre-bid meeting is being sceduled for July 15 and the deadline lies to be on August 17, this year.
The station would attract as a multimodal transit hub with international segregation for back and forth, baggage security, check-in area, including an art gallery and information enquiry centre.
