Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): Amid the pandemic situation across State, while students are bounded to do their courses online, the School and Mass Education Minister Aamir Ranjan Dash on Wednesday has informed about syllabus for students of classes 9 and 10 will be reduced by 30% this year.
“Online classes are currently underway in the state due to the COVID-19 situation. However, it is not possible on the part of each and every student to avail online education. Hence, we have decided to reduce the syllabus,” informed the minister.
He further added that decision regarding reopening of schools in Odisha was yet to be taken.
Odisha government had last year slashed syllabus for Class 1 to 12 by 30% as the academic session was affected due to the pandemic.
