Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has issued Red Warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in nine districts on Wednesday after Cyclone Yaas’ landfall in Balasore district.
According to Met Centre issued notification,”Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with isolated extremely heavy fall very likely to occur over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal.”
Wind Warning issued as follows:
Gale wind speed reaching 130-140 kmph gusting 155 kmph is prevailing over Northwest Bay of Bengal and along & off north Odisha coast and adjoining West Bengal coast including Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak and Balasore districts of Odisha.
Squally wind speed reaching 100-110 kmph gusting 120 kmph would prevail over Jajpur and Mayurbhanj districts of Odisha till 26th May noon.
Gale wind speed reaching 60-80 kmph gusting to 90 kmph would prevail over Cuttack, Dhenkanal and Keonjhar districts of Odisha till 26th May noon.
Squally wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph gusting to 70 kmph would prevail over Khurda, Puri, Angul, Deogarh and Sundargarh districts of Odisha during the same period.
