Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): Amid the pandemic and the upcoming cyclonic effect Yaas, the Odisha government has assigned five senior police officials in each 5 marked district where the Cyclone Yaas to put heavy effect on.
Meanwhile the alloted districts are Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Balasore and Mayurbhanj.
“The senior police officers are assigned the district noted against each for guidance and support to district police in challenges arising out of very severe cyclonic storm yaas. The officers concerned are requested to proceed to respective district immediately,” the notification read.
J.N Pankaj, IPS, CR in Cuttack has been assigned to Kendrapara district.
Similarly, Amitabh Thakurankara from Bhubaneswar to Jagatsinghpur, Amitendra Nath Sinha from Cuttack to Bhadrak, Diptesh Kumar Pattanayak from Balasore assigned to Balasore district, and Anirudh Kumar Singh from Bhubaneswar assigned to Mayurbhanj district.
