Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday has issued a low pressure area is very likely to form over north Andaman Sea and adjoining east central Bay of Bengal around May 22.
However, it is very likely to intensify gradually into a cyclonic storm during subsequent 72 hours.
It is very likely to move northwestwards and reach Odisha-West Bengal coasts around May 26 evening, it said.
Continuous watch is being maintained over Andaman Sea and adjoining Bay of Bengal region for probable cyclogenesis at around May 23, the IMD added.
The system will be named as Cyclone Yaas when it intensifies into Cyclonic Storm.
