Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Odisha Health and Family Welfare Department on Tuesday reported 10,321 new Covid-19 cases while 22 more patients succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours.
After today’s report, the Covid-19 positive tally in State has surged to 6,33,302 while the death toll jumped to 2,357, added the H&FW Department.
Of the new cases reported from 30 districts, 5,779 were detected from various quarantine centres while the remaining 4,542 were found during contact tracing.
Three each deaths were reported from Sundargarh, Nuapada, Khordha, Kalahandi and Boudh districts, two each deaths in Gajapati, Koraput and Rayagada and one in Bolangir district, said the H&FW Department.
According to the data shared by the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) department, Khordha reported maximum 1566 cases followed by Sundargarh (819), Cuttack (731) and Kalahandi (599), Angul (471), Puri (472), Mayurbhanj (458) and Sambalpur (405).
Similarly, Bhadrak detected 350 cases followed by Koraput (338), Nabarangpur (334), Jajpur (330), Bargarh (320), Jharsuguda (312), Nayagarh (273), Balasore (269), Boudh (250), Balangir (291), Keonjhar (204), Ganjam (203), Rayagada (163), Kendrapada (162), Jagatsinghpur (159), Nuapada (145) and Deogarh (114).
The other districts which detected cases below 100 are – Dhenkanal (77), Malkangiri (77), Sonepur (73), Gajapati (56) and Kandhamal (54).
