Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): As a frontline worker, teachers are serving their duties with full honesty outside of schools during COVID pandemic.
Concerning the matter, Odisha Legislative Assembly MLAs served a written letter to Odisha Government by urging to declare “teachers on duty” as COVID warriors.
The Paralakhemundi MLA, K. Narayan Rao wrote a note to Shri Satyabrata Sahu, IAS, Principal Secretary, School & Mass Education Department mentioned that, “It is seen that teachers fraternity of Odisha, those are engaged in rendering their services for the management of pandemic COVID-19 needs to be honoured as COVID WARRIOR, as per the public interest.”
Similarly, MLA Mukesh Mahaling of Loisingha urged the same and wrote to Shri Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra, IAS, Addtional Chief Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department.
