Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday informed ahead of onset of Monsoon, a low pressure is likely to form over the Arabian Sea adjoining equatorial Indian Ocean during next five days.
A cyclonic circulation extending upto 3.1 km above mean sea level lies over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining central parts of the South Arabian Sea.
The possible low pressure is likely to become more marked over the Southeast Arabian Sea during subsequent 48 hours.
Earlier, a Global Forecast model of the US had predicted a cyclonic storm in Andaman Sea towards May 10.
