Berhampur (SunstarTV Bureau): In view of the second wave of COVID-19 and surging positive cases with a dramatical tally, various trader associations in Odisha’s Ganjam have decided to close shops from 2 pm to 5 am for the next 10 days in urban areas of the district.
The Ganjam district administration welcomed the step and urged the locals to support the initiative.
By tagging Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Health and Family Welfare Department Ganjam admin tweeted, “We welcome the steps taken by merchants association, vendors association in urban areas to keep closing of shops from 2pm to 5am for next 10 days. We request all people to support this initiative. Together we can win this battle against Covid-19.”
Further it stated to follow the protocols from April 28 to May 9 in all urban areas of the district.
