Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Odisha government on Wednesday cancelled annual BSE Matric Examination 2021, informed Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Dash by addressing to press media.
Besides, the Odisha State Board of Madrasa Education also cancelled.
The initiative has taken after witnessing surge in number of Corona virus cases across state and country.
Earlier on Tuesday failing to get any clarity, the protestors later moved towards Naveen Niwas to put forth their demand before Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Unable to meet him, the agitating students later had staged a dharna on road at Forest Park.
The students demanded that like CBSE and ICSE, the BSE should cancel the Class 10 exam due to worsening COVID situation in the State in the second wave of pandemic. Meanwhile, they warned to carry the protest in coming days if the Government does not take decision in this regard in two days.
