Jajpur (SunstarTV Bureau): After a video went viral of five police officials including a woman home guard, in uniform dancing inside a police station in Odisha’s Jajpur district, an assistant sub-inspector was on Tuesday was suspended, informed a police official.
Meanwhile the viral video showing, the five officials’ faces were smeared with colors while other officials of the Panikoili Police station were seen clapping and cheering them.
According to Superintendent of Police Rahul PR said that the incident may have taken place on the occasion of the Holi festival, which ultimately violated rules.
Furthermore ASI Sanjay Dash was placed under suspension after preliminary inquiry, he said.
“We have launched a probe and action will be taken against the other police personnel involved in the incident on the basis of the inquiry report,” the SP said.
Notably, the video was recorded and posted on social media by an unidentified person.
