Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday sealed Silicon Institute of Technology allegedly violating Covid-19 norms.
The prima facie report reveled that the engineering institution was served a show cause notice on Monday. However, the educational institution was failed to show the cause. Hence, the extreme step has taken by BMC, said an official.
Earlier, on Monday, the same was happened to a coaching centre at Jaydev Vihar in Bhubaneswar as after the gross violation of Covid-19 norms were found during a surprise inspection by the enforcement team.
Similarly, in last week as many as 20 students or over found Covid-19 positive from another coaching centre and was sealed.
Prior to that, premier management institute, the Xavier Institute of Management (XIM), had been sealed after 45 students and faculty had tested positive for the virus.
