Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange warning of heavy heat wave alert to 21 districts for the next two days in State on Wednesday.
According to IMD report, dry westerly winds prevailing in the lower levels and local heating and contraction of dry air near surface level, severe heat wave conditions are likely to prevail at many places over the districts of north interior and adjoining south interior and some districts of coastal Odisha during next two days, informed IMD today.
The heat wave conditions at many places with severe heat wave at isolated places most likely to prevail over as many as 21 districts included Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Bargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sonepur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Nayagarh, Khordha, Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore.
The Regional Meteorological Department informed that there will be no large change in maximumtemperature during next two days which is till April 2 and thereafter it will fall gradually by 2-4 degree Celsius over the districts of Odisha.
Meanwhile, Met department reported about the maximum temperature is very likely to rise by 4-6 degree Celsius at many places during next two days.
