SunstarTV Bureau: On Thursday,The Regional Meteorological Centre , recorded the maximum temperature at nine places of the state to be under grasp of flamming heat with the mercury floating around 40 degree Celsius.
On Thursday, with the maximum temperature (day temperature)of 40.8 degree Celsius, Boudh was the hottest place in the state followed by Bhubaneswar (40.4) Balangir (40.4), Sonepur (40.2) and Angul (40.1). Besides, Baripada, Malkangiri, Titlagarh and Nayagarh to record 40 degree Celsius.
The MeT Centre further predicted that the day temperature is likely to further rise by two to three degree Celsius over the districts of interior Odisha during next two to three days.
“The maximum temperature is very likely to be above normal by three to four degree Celsius at many places over the districts of Odisha including the capital city during next four to five days,” the weathermen said.
