Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The much awaited bypoll election to the Assembly constituency of Pipili, gazette notification has published by the State Chief Electroral Officer of Odisha on Tuesday morning.
Notably, since October 4, 2020, after the demise of seven times MLA Pradeep Maharathy, the bypoll to the 110 Pipili Assembly seat has been laying vacant. The ECI has fixed the polls to commence on April 17 where the timing for polling of votes from 7 am to 6 pm.
Meanwhile, the last date of filing nominations is March 30 while the papers will be scrutinized on March 31. The withdrawal of candidatures can be done by April 3. After the polling of votes on April 17, counting and declaration of results will be made on May 2.
