SunstarTV Bureau: The scene of ripped jeans that women wearing and sharing images, is currently trending on social media platforms.
The trend was created after the Chief Minister of the northern state of Uttarakhand, Tirath Singh Rawat, who earlier was opinioned above ‘the women with ripped jeans send out a wrong message to their children and to society’.
He further explained that his apprehension towards bare knees being exposed and went on to draw a parallel between the Indian and western culture. He also said that while the western world is following our tradition of yoga and ‘covering up’, Indians were running towards ‘nudity’.
“If this kind of woman goes out in the society to meet people and solve their problems, what kind of message are we giving out to society, to our kids? It all starts at home. What we do, our kids follow. A child who is taught the right culture at home, no matter how modern he becomes, will never fail in life,” said the Chief Minister.
The video went viral after his speech was shared on social media by the national president of the Indian National Congress.
Meanwhile, with a bounce reply many women are making it a trend by sharing their recent images with ripped jeans and trolling the thoughts of the Uttarakhand Chief Minister.
Priyanka Chaturvedi, the MP of Rajya Sabha and the Deputy Leader of Shiv Sena, has shared on Thursday a image of wearing a black color ripped jeans with a formal blue shirt, sitting on a couch, smiling.
