Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Khandagiri police on Thursday sealed a petrol pump allegation of adulteration of fuel in a petrol pump near Baramunda in Bhubaneswar city.
According to sources, the ‘Highway Service Centre’ named filling station was operating with a license of Hindustan Petroleum (HP) reportedly by turning petrol dispensed from the machine from the contained water.
After the allegations, scientific teams from Khordha forensic laboratory and HP have visited the filling station and collected samples from six underground fuel tanks. Meanwhile, the team has collected some sample for examine the truth behind the issue.
Notably, earlier several customers were gathered at the petrol pump and also extracted from the fuel tanks of their bikes in plastic bottles to prove their claims.
