One nation one election: The Congress-led government in Karnataka has passed a resolution against ‘One Nation One Election’. The proposal was passed in the Karnataka assembly amid fierce opposition from BJP and JDS. The state government has also passed a resolution against NEET amid strong opposition from the opposition. It was presented by Sharan Prakash Patil, Minister of Medical Education and Skill Development.
There is a stir all over the country over the NEET question paper leak case. A hearing has also been held in the Supreme Court on allegations of irregularities in the medical entrance examination. The opposition has also surrounded the government on this issue. Similarly, the CBI is investigating the case. However, the Supreme Court has already clarified that it is not possible to conduct NEET again. The Supreme Court also said that doing so will affect the lives of lakhs of students.
Similarly, many states are currently demanding the abolition of NEET. In such a situation, Karnataka government has taken a big decision and passed a proposal against NEET exam.
