SunstarTV Bureau: Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections. However, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee has expressed dissatisfaction with the old party’s decision of refusing to field Mamata in the Lok Sabha polls.
Even the TMC has distanced itself from the Congress. Mamata Banerjee, who has joined hands to unite the opposition against Narendra Modi and BJP governments, accused the Congress and the BJP of joining hands. The two national political parties have close ties.
“I have been fighting the CPM for 30 years,” Mamata Banerjee, who is contesting by-elections from Bhawanipur, told in Bhawanipur rally. “I left the Congress party because the party had a relationship with the CPM, which continues till date. The party also has close ties with the BJP. But we have promised to expel the BJP, ” said the West Bengal Chief Minister.
Notably, the TMC had earlier in the day stated that Rahul Gandhi could not be an alternative to Prime Minister Modi. For this, Mamata Banerjee should be made the face of the opposition. But the Congress party completely rejected it.
Mamata Banerjee said the BJP was selling the country. Even after losing in West Bengal, the party has nothing to be ashamed of. Sending the agency, thinking that no one can open their mouth against the party. The BJP completely destroyed Gujarat.
“But we want to save the country,” Mamata said.
