SunstarTV Bureau: The new TV serial about Odisha’s legend Buxi Jagbandhu on Star Plus, produced by Katha Productions, is set to air soon. The series is expected to be well-received by audiences and critics alike. The series tells the story of the 1919 uprising against the British East India Company in Odisha.
The story of the series shows how two princesses and a rebel warrior come together to fight against the British government. In a recent promo, Sharad Malhotra playing lead as Buxi Jagbandhu, the leader of the historic Paika Rebellion in Khordha. He was the landlord of Rodanga, and the king of Khordha appointed him commander-in-chief. In fact, under Buxi’s leadership, he raised his voice against illegal taxation and large-scale tax-exempt land, and restrictions on salt by British law.
The promo features a stunning look of Buxi Jagbandhu by actor Sharad Malhotra. As for the look, Sharad has a long hair and an amazing personality. He was seen wearing a large red vermilion on forehead with a sword on screen.
