SunstarTV Bureau: Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee, nephew of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, will appear before the Enforcement Directorate in Delhi on Monday on alleged of coal smuggling case.
Besides, BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has been summoned by the West Bengal CID in connection to the investigation of the case of his bodyguard Subhabrata Chakraborty’s death.
Meanwhile, Abhishek was informed that he would appear before the ED today. Earlier, ED had summoned Abhishek’s wife. Rujira Banerjee, Abhishek’s wife, refused to go to Delhi citing reasons being infected with COVID-19.
Abhishek said that the BJP was pursuing such politics out of revenge after losing the election.
On the other hand, the revolt in West Bengal politics has not stopped. BJP legislative party leader Shuvendu Adhikari has also been asked by the CID to appear in connection with the killings. In the Assembly elections, the BJP and the ruling Trinamool spontaneously clashed had emerged. And yet after six months the clash never stopped.
