Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The probability raised over Odisha Government that is likely to announce the COVID-19 guidelines for the month of September, on Tuesday.
With significant decrease in the number of daily infections, the government is likely to ease the existing restrictions.
While weekend shutdown was earlier announced for Bhubaneswar, Cuttack city and Puri town for the month of August, the same may be withdrawn due to dip in daily COVID-19 cases and Test Positivity Rate (TPR) in the three areas.
Notably, the COVID-19 TPR in the state stood at 1.1% for yesterday while the figure was 0.9%, a day before yesterday.
Similarly, night curfew timing (8 PM to 6 AM) across the state might be relaxed. However, the state government has also geared up to tackle the possible third wave of COVID-19.
