Odisha: Single day COVID-19 spike at 761; Among 101 children

Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Odisha’s Information and Public Relations (I&PR) department on Monday reported as many as 761 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours out of which 101 children, 0-18 years, were tested positives in the state.

The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day was registered at 1.25%.

According to I&PR department reported that Khurda district recorded highest with 289 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack with 117 and Balasore with 52 Covid positives.

With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state reached 1001698 with 8917 active cases.

Below are district-wise figures of the new cases.

  6. Boudh: 1
  7. Cuttack: 117

  13. Jajpur: 35
  14. Jharsuguda: 1
  15. Kandhamal: 3
  16. Kendrapada: 15
  17. Keonjhar: 5
  18. Khurda: 289
  19. Malkangiri: 2
  20. Mayurbhanj: 24
  21. Nabarangpur: 1
  22. Nayagarh: 12
  23. Puri: 13
  24. Rayagada: 5
  25. Sambalpur: 20
  26. Sonepur: 1
  27. Sundargarh: 10
