Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued alert of heavy rainfall in Odisha for the next 48 hours. Meanwhile, a low pressure area intensify over northwest and adjoining west central Bay of Bengal of South Odisha North Andhra Pradesh coasts and the adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal.
According to IMD, several parts of Odisha will experience heavy rainfall activity in the next 48 hours under the influence of the system.

Day 1 (valid from 1330 hrs IST of 17.08.2021 upto 0830 hrs IST of 18.08.2021)
Yellow Warning issued to the following:
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, Koraput, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj and Kendrapara.
Heavy rainfall is is also likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Boudh, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Rayagada, Gajapati, Balasore, Nuapada, Nabarangpur, Angul and Kalahandi.
Day 2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 18.08.2021 upto 0830 hrs IST of 19.08.2021)
Yellow Warning (To be updated): Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Sonepur, Angul, Nuapada and Bolangir.
Day 3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 19.08.2021 upto 0830 hrs IST of 20.08.2021)
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Interior Odisha and at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Interior Odisha and at a few places over the districts of coastal Odisha.
