Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Odisha’s ruling party Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has decided to field 27 percent OBC candidates in the upcoming election in State, including Panchayat Polls.
The decision has been taken by BJD Supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, informed Ministers Ranendra Pratap Swain and Arun Kumar Sahoo at a Press meet on Friday.
The Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) Act, 2008 has provision of reservation of posts and services for people belonging to this category, informed the Minister.
