Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed that a cyclonic circulation is likely to form over west central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal around August 15 and may lead to formation of a low pressure area over the same region for the next two days, on Thursday.
Under the influence of the system, fairly widespread rainfall activity is likely over Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.
According to official report, “Isolated heavy to very heavy falls are likely over Odisha in between August 15 and 17 and isolated heavy falls over coastal Andhra Pradesh during the period. Besides, subdued rainfall is very likely to occur in rest parts of the country.”
The Met further issued warning of cyclonic circulation lies over west Bihar and neighboring at lower troposphere levels which is likely to lash across state for the next couple of days.
Moreover, strong lower level southwesterly winds from the Bay of Bengal to northeast India is likely to continue during the next four days.
