Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Information and Public Relations (I&PR) department on Friday reported as many as 1,208 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours and with this the total caseload in Odisha surged to 9,84,731 so far.
Meanwhile, 702 were from different quarantine centres and 506 new cases were from the local contacts, informed I&PR department.
Khordha reported with 399 fresh COVID cases in the last 24 hours followed by Cuttack with 173 and Puri with 58 cases.

66 more COVID infected died of the virus in the State, informed the State Dashboard today. The State’s toll due to the virus now stands at 6,302.
The deaths were reported from 16 districts are Angul (4), Balasore (6), Bhadrak (1), Balangir (2), Cuttack (1), Ganjam (10), Jharsuguda (1), Kandhamal (1), Keonjhar (3), Khordha (19), Mayurbhanj (2), Nayagarh (1), Nuapada (1), Puri (2), Rayagada (1) and Sambalpur (1).
