Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): Amid the corona pandemic across state, the educational institutions were remain shut for so long, and after lots of hurdles and consequences the Odisha government has decided to reopen schools and higher secondary schools for Class 10 and 12 in state from today (Monday).
It has been decided to classes will be held from 10 am to 1.30 pm for the students without recess hour. Along with this, the ongoing online classroom learning will too commence, been decided.
The schools will remain closed on all government holidays.
Besides, the government has also planning to reopen the schools for Class 10 and 11 students from August 16 and September 15, respectively.
The School and Mass Education Department has also set COVID Protocols regarding the reopening of schools.
Online/distance learning shall continue to be the preferred mode of teaching and shall be encouraged. Where schools are conducting online classes and some students prefer to attend online classes rather than physically attend school, they may be permitted to do so.
Online and classroom learning will go in tandem with each other and should continue to share timelines and daily schedules to ensure synchronization.
Students may attend schools/institutions in consultation with their parents or guardians. Attendance must not be enforced.
