Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The State Government on Friday informed that the ‘Environmental Study and Disaster Management’ to the syllabus of Undergraduate programme been added as part of reforms in higher education.
According to given information, new subject will be mandatory for plus three first year students in Arts, Science and Commerce streams.
The subject carried total four units in syllabus will carry total 100 marks in first semester.
At a cabinet meeting on May 29, 2021, Odisha Government had decided to introduce ‘disaster and pandemic preparedness’ as part of curriculum in schools and colleges. Accordingly, the State Higher Education Department has revised the existing model syllabus ‘Environmental Science’ as ‘Environmental Study and Disaster Management ‘, a release stated today.
The revised syllabus will be introduced in Undergraduate courses from this academic session, informed the State Higher Education Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo.
