Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued heavy rainfall with thunderstorms that likely to lash over several district across state. Reportedly, a cyclonic circulation over northwest Bay of Bengal and neighborhood intensified a low pressure area over the region.
The low pressure may cause heavy rainfall in several parts of the State during the next 2-3 days, informed the IMD.
According to Regional Meteorological Centre, here forecasted that heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur.
Similarly, heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Angul, Keonjhar, Koraput, Malkangiri, Sundargarh today, the Met Centre issued notice.
Besides, a low pressure area possibly to intensify over North Bay of Bengal and neighborhood around July 27. Under its influence, widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls are likely to occur over east and adjoining central and northwest India during 26th-27th July.
