Puri (SunstarTV Bureau): During the Suna Besha rituals in Puri yesterday, a portion of the Kirita (headgear) of Lord Jagannath was found missing which was seen covered with flowers on the missing part of the golden ‘Kias’.
Reportedly, the Kirita of Lord Jagannath had total 21 ‘Kias’, which known as the top portion of the Kirita. Meanwhile, the third ‘Kia’ from the left side of the headgear was missing during observance of Suna Besha atop Nadighosha Rath.
The view was caught the sight of the servitors and officials, those were present on Bada Danda. Moreover the devotees those were enjoying the live telecast of the famous rituals from their homes.
After the unusual happenings, the servitors of Lord Jagannath temple assured that the broken portion of the headgear has been safely preserved and the ornament will be repaired soon.
Meanwhile, the Chhattisa Nijoga of Holy Trinity has intimated the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) about the incident.
