Nayagarh (SunstarTV Bureau): An eminent freedom fighter from Majhiankhanda village, Ranpur block in Nayagarh district, named Ishwar Bisoi dies of age related ailments, informed his family.
According to his family sources, Bisoi was suffering from age-related ailments for past few days.
Notably, the eminent freedom fighter from Odisha had joined Azad Hind Fauj in 1945 and was jailed in Rangoon Central Jail.
For his irreplaceable contribution to Indian Freedom Movement Bisoi was awarded the ‘Rashtrapati Samman’ in 2018.
Nayagarh Collectorate expressed sadness over the demise of Bisoi. The Collector’s office further stated, “We hope his life continues to leave a mark on us and his struggles be our inspiration.”
