Puri (SunstarTV Bureau): The Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Krishan Kumar, on Sunday informed that, the laser scanning at the Shree Jagannatha Temple in Puri will be carried out this year except inside the ‘garbha gruha’ (sanctum sanctorum).
He further mentioned that the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) had requested the temple administration for a laser scanning of the temple and after that, it was decided to allow the ASI to conduct laser scanning at Natya Mandap, Jagamohan and other parts of the temple.
The further consideration would be allowed after analysing the benefits of the laser scanning, where the ASI to carry out the process inside the sanctum sanctorum from next year, the SJTA Chief Administrator added.
He further said a committee of servitors has been formed in presence of whom the laser scanning at the temple will be done.
On silver-plating of the temple doors, the work will be done at eight dwaras. The temple administration is not in hurry to finish the work as no time limit has been fixed for the same, informed the Temple Administration.
