Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): For the first time after the spontaneous surge of Covid cases in Odisha, on Monday the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) department informed that as many as 1,993 more persons tested positive for the virus.

A total of 72,754 samples were tested yesterday while the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day stood at 2.73%.

Khurda district reported highest 322 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack with 297 cases and Balasore with 181 cases.

With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state reached 941745 with 24567 active cases.
